This new burger joint is Carter Roads latest offering to its visitors. It has replaced Loco Chino and whilst I was concerned at first, my recent visit has definitely pacified me.
Burger Bros serves some gobsmacking burgers, decadent shakes and some mean fries.
Having seen the recent buzz on social media about the milkshakes I couldn’t wait to get my hands on those chocolaty treats!
Here’s some of the grub we tried.
Priced at Rs.95 with the option of adding veg and non veg toppings at Rs 20 and Rs 30 respectively, these crisp tortillas are generously topped with cheese sauce and garnished with spring onions. The tortillas are thin and delicious
Hand Cut Cheesy Fries
These thick cut fries are a definite favourite. The fries are topped with a cheddar cheese sauce and we chose to add a topping of Pesto Chicken. The Pesto chicken was perfectly spiced and generously served. This is something I’ll definitely order again.
This is an American Classic. Soft Buns, a plump buffalo patty and lots of cheese sauce. What really stood out for me here was the patty. I’m tired of eating patties with overpowering spices and unnecessary onions and vegetables. This patty was pure mince and was juicy and succulent.
Habibi Bro (V)
The Habibi Bro is a falafel burger. It has a falafel patty and garlic hummus, picked beetroot, jalapeños and cheddar sauce as accompaniments. It makes for a unique fusion burger and all the elements taste good.
These were definitely what I was looking forward to the most. They are served in some adorable bottles that you can even take home!
Peanut Butter and Jelly with Salted Caramel
This is was definitely my favourite dish of the entire meal. The milkshake was sweet with a gentle salt hit from the peanut butter and caramel sauce and it was rich and decadent. The peanut butter flavour came through prominently and the sauce splash on the bottle edges was wonderful too!
Chocolate Oreo Milkshake
I’m an absolute Oreo lover and while it may be the most common order available at tons of restaurants I always order it. The Oreo milkshake at Burger Bros was chocolaty and crumbly all the same and did complete justice to its description.
While we loved the milkshakes mentioned above we felt like some did not do justice to their descriptions. The roasted marshmallow and smores shake had us dreaming about little marshmallow bits in every sip but unfortunately was oversweet and had a burnt taste.
Unfortunately the Tripple Cholcolate Milkshake also made more promises than it could deliver.
Overall, I’ll definitely be going back for that juicy, meaty cheeseburger and that fabulous Peanut Butter Milkshake.
